I would love to work much bigger, Anselm Kieffer size! At the moment my work ranges from a tiny 12cm square to 120cm square. Working large involves everything getting bigger…brushes, gestures, shapes etc.  It’s much harder compositional to not end up with lots of small paintings within one, or to have a central composition surrounded by areas that are serving no purpose.

Exploring the ideas I have about taking a small section of an ink drawing and using it to inform a much larger painting  I played around with an app, blowing some small 12cm prints up….
